This is an example of the types of ventilation control accessories that are available. Some of these will work with a range of control types, others will be specific to a specific control panel. Get in touch with us to find the best option.
Rain Sensors
These accessories are capable of sensing rain drops that fall onto the sensor surface. This signal can then instruct a control panel to close the vents to prevent damage to the actuators and property.
Some rain sensors have heated sensor plates. This decreases the time it takes to reset the sensor after rain has stopped.
Remote Controls
Possibly the most convenient way to control your windows. These remotes are stylish and easy to use.
Many controllers can have multiple remotes paired, and some remotes can be used to control multiple separate controls. Usually they are supplied with a wall mount for handy storage.
Temperature Sensor
Some controls have temperature sensors built in but allow for an external one to be connected.
It can be useful to use an external temperature sensor as it should be located away from direct sunlight to be the most accurate. This is not always the best location for the control panel itself.
Wind Sensors
It may be desirable to also add a wind sensor to your window automation solution. These allow supported control panels to automatically close the vents if a given wind speed is exceeded.
The control panel support for these isn’t as broad as other sensor types so be sure to get in touch if this is something you need.
Accessories for Smoke Ventilation
Smoke ventilation has it’s own specific range of accessories, covering fireman’s overrides, smoke detectors, and call points.
Some smoke ventilation systems are used for comfort ventilation as well, in those scenarios rain and wind sensors may also be required.
