For the inner cable to perform well it’s important the conduit is held securely into the different components of the system. This tool creates a groove in the metal conduit which acts as an anchoring point inside openers, junction boxes and operators.
How to use the tool
- Cut and strip approximately 15mm of outer PVC jacket from the end of the conduit to expose the metal inside
- Drill out about 20mm of the inner polythene liner from the inside of the conduit with an 8mm drill bit
- Place the tool on the end of the conduit and ensure it meets the stop plate.
- Tighten the knob and rotate the tool around the conduit a few times.
- Repeat step 4 until the tool doesn’t tighten further.
