For the inner cable to perform well it’s important the conduit is held securely into the different components of the system.  This tool creates a groove in the metal conduit which acts as an anchoring point inside openers, junction boxes and operators.

How to use the tool

  1. Cut and strip approximately 15mm of outer PVC jacket from the end of the conduit to expose the metal inside
  2. Drill out about 20mm of the inner polythene liner from the inside of the conduit with an 8mm drill bit
  3. Place the tool on the end of the conduit and ensure it meets the stop plate.
  4. Tighten the knob and rotate the tool around the conduit a few times.
  5. Repeat step 4 until the tool doesn’t tighten further.
